It's that time of year already when venues begin contacting us about gigs in the new year - so far this week we've had eight enquiries, many repeat clients including Masons balls and for new years eve, and also promises of further shows. Why not drop us a line through the contact page?
Thanks to the team at the Oasis Club in Scratby, who having been told about us and checked out our website, invited us to play at their big event of the year. A full hall of several hundred people and a tight set by the band ensured a good night was had by all! This was our first time there, but not our last, as we've since been promised four dates for 2018!
Admittedly, not the most rock n roll of things to talk about, but Graham has started playing his custom-built electronic drum kit, which apart from sounding and looking the part, means he and the band can adjust their volume to suit the venue. We've had enquiries from promoters who have had to install noise limiters and/or get angry neighbours knock on their door (yes, even when a wedding is in full swing!) which, let's face it, is a scenario that no one wants. We feel this definitely is a big plus for the band, as we hear how other bands just turn up, crank up the volume and have no consideration for their guests or what the venue requires from them, and wonder why they clear the room!
Thanks to May for inviting us back to play at her campsite in Kessingland on Saturday night. Apparently hardly anybody showed an interest in the band the previous weekend, and it was quiet at first, but we opened the windows so the campsite could hear what they were missing out on, and by the end of the night we had a full room of happy, dancing people! Someone even said "We thought you were going to be crap but you were actually really good!"
Yes, I know Christmas and the New Year seem ages away, but we've started getting queries about playing during the festive period. We've just been booked by North Norfolk District Council for their Christmas bash and we return to The Victoria pub on the Holkham Estate too. Get in touch and we'll be happy to give you a quote.
We've been busy of late sorting out some new tunes which we're looking forward to giving an airing for our three gigs in July! Why not come and give us a look?
At long last our promo video is finally complete! Check it out!
Well I didn't have a particularly good time of mounting a decal onto my new drum kit so I've told the band we've got to change our name to 'Jemtonebad' from now on!!! You never know, people may think we're a punk metal band with attitude and give us some more gigs?!
